Abrasion-resistant white cast iron (Ni-Hard): chemical composition
Ni-Hard irons are white cast irons that solidify without graphite, so the structure consists of hard carbides in a matrix. Nickel suppresses pearlite and gives a mainly martensitic matrix. Chromium keeps the iron white and stabilises the carbides. EN 12513 classifies these grades by minimum hardness.
Typical parts are wear components for abrasive service: mill liners, slurry pump casings and liners, and grinding and pulverizer parts. They are used in mining, quarrying, cement production and coal handling.

Abrasion-resistant white cast iron (Ni-Hard): cast and machined in-house
We cast Ni-Hard grades alongside our 15% and 25% chromium white irons for abrasion-resistant wear parts. Each melt is checked by spectrometer analysis, and EN 10204 3.1 certificates are available on request.
- Sand casting at our foundry in Mandra, Attica; centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves and liners
- Heat treatment at the foundry (water, oil or air quench); CNC machining in our machine shop in Perama
- Spectrometer analysis of every heat, mechanical testing and NDT
- EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates; ISO 9001 (both plants) and ISO 14001 (foundry) certified
