Aluminium bronze: chemical composition
Aluminium bronzes are copper–aluminium alloys that form a tenacious alumina surface film, giving high strength together with good resistance to sea water, erosion and cavitation. Iron and nickel additions produce the multi-component nickel-aluminium bronzes, which have a finer structure and higher strength and corrosion resistance; the alloys are demanding to cast because of their oxide-forming melt.
Propellers and propeller components, sea-water pump casings and impellers, valve bodies, bushings, gears and wear parts for marine, naval and offshore service and for pumps handling sea water or abrasive media.

Aluminium bronze: cast and machined in-house
Aluminium bronze castings in sand and by centrifugal casting, machined and dynamically balanced in the group's own machine shop; references include thrust rings and propeller components in CuAl10Fe5Ni5-C. Every heat is checked by optical emission spectrometer, with EN 10204 3.1 certificates.
- Sand casting at our foundry in Mandra, Attica; centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves and liners
- Heat treatment at the foundry (water, oil or air quench); CNC machining in our machine shop in Perama
- Spectrometer analysis of every heat, mechanical testing and NDT
- EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates; ISO 9001 (both plants) and ISO 14001 (foundry) certified
