Stainless cast steel

GX5CrNiNb19-11 (1.4552) chemical composition

Austenitic stainless cast steel GX5CrNiNb19-11 (AISI 347)

Niobium-stabilised austenitic CrNi grade without molybdenum (cast 347, close to CF8C). Stabilisation gives resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding and in service at elevated temperature; used for valve, pump and process components.

We cast GX5CrNiNb19-11

Tsitouras Foundry supplies stainless steel sand castings – and centrifugal castings for bushings and sleeves – with the heat treatment each grade requires (solution annealing; quenching and tempering for martensitic grades), spectrometric chemical analysis, mechanical testing and NDT, EN 10204 3.1 certificates, and CNC machining to the finished part in the group's own machine shop.

  • Sand casting at our foundry in Mandra, Attica; centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves and liners
  • Heat treatment at the foundry (water, oil or air quench); CNC machining in our machine shop in Perama
  • Spectrometer analysis of every heat, mechanical testing and NDT
  • EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates; ISO 9001 (both plants) and ISO 14001 (foundry) certified
