LCC (UNS J02505) chemical composition
Carbon-manganese steel casting grade for pressure-containing parts in low-temperature service, with higher strength and impact energy requirements than LCB. Supplied normalised and tempered or liquid-quenched and tempered for valve bodies, flanges and fittings in cold process, LPG and offshore service.

Basis of values: Limits per ASTM A352.
Additional requirements: All limits are maximums; Ni, Cr, Mo, Cu and V are specified residual elements · Ni + Cr + Mo + Cu + V ≤ 1.00 (total of specified residuals) · For each 0.01 C below the 0.25 maximum, Mn may exceed 1.20 by 0.04, up to Mn ≤ 1.40 · Supplementary Requirement S23 (only when ordered): CE = C + Mn/6 + (Cr + Mo + V)/5 + (Ni + Cu)/15 ≤ 0.55
We cast LCC
We sand cast carbon and low-alloy steel to EN 10293, EN 10213 and ASTM A216/A352, heat treat it at the foundry (water, oil or air quench) and, if required, machine it in the group's machine shop in Perama. Each heat is checked by spectrometer; orders ship with an EN 10204 3.1 certificate, with mechanical testing and NDT (UT, MT, PT) as specified.
- Sand casting at our foundry in Mandra, Attica; centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves and liners
- Heat treatment at the foundry (water, oil or air quench); CNC machining in our machine shop in Perama
- Spectrometer analysis of every heat, mechanical testing and NDT
- EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates; ISO 9001 (both plants) and ISO 14001 (foundry) certified
