Ductile (nodular) cast iron

EN-GJS-SiMo50-6 (5.3118) chemical composition

SiMo ductile iron for high temperatures EN-GJS-SiMo50-6 (SiMo 5.06)

The higher-silicon SiMo grade of EN 16124, for higher service temperatures and better scaling resistance than SiMo40-6, at the cost of lower ductility at room temperature. Exhaust and turbocharger components. Si and Mo limits per the standard.

We cast EN-GJS-SiMo50-6

We sand cast GJS grades for housings, pulleys, sheaves and gear blanks, verify the chemistry on our spectrometer and machine the castings in the group's own CNC machine shop, with EN 10204 3.1 certificates on request.

  • Sand casting at our foundry in Mandra, Attica; centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves and liners
  • Heat treatment at the foundry (water, oil or air quench); CNC machining in our machine shop in Perama
  • Spectrometer analysis of every heat, mechanical testing and NDT
  • EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates; ISO 9001 (both plants) and ISO 14001 (foundry) certified
