High-chromium white cast iron

G-X260Cr27 (0.9650) chemical composition

High-chromium white cast iron G-X260Cr27 (0.9650)

27% Cr white iron without a required molybdenum addition; the high chromium leaves more Cr in the matrix, giving better corrosion resistance than the Cr-Mo grades. Used for abrasion in wet or mildly corrosive media: slurry pump casings and impellers, chute and classifier liners.

We cast G-X260Cr27

We sand cast high-chromium white iron wear parts for quarry and cement service, with GX300CrMo15-3 as our standard mill grade and further grades from 15 % to 27 % Cr, heat treat them in-house and machine them on CNC equipment in the group's own machine shop. Every melt is checked by spectrometer analysis, hardness is verified on our own tester, and EN 10204 3.1 certificates are available.

  • Sand casting at our foundry in Mandra, Attica; centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves and liners
  • Heat treatment at the foundry (water, oil or air quench); CNC machining in our machine shop in Perama
  • Spectrometer analysis of every heat, mechanical testing and NDT
  • EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates; ISO 9001 (both plants) and ISO 14001 (foundry) certified
